About Me

Hi there, my name is Jannae Bridgeman. I am an educator living in Regina, SK.

Mrs. Bridgeman as a Professional

I have a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Regina and am working towards a Masters of Education with a focus in Curriculum and Instruction. I am currently a teacher with the Regina Public School Division and teach at Scott Collegiate High School (although at the moment I am on maternity leave).

I have taught in Regina since 2008. Before that I was a teacher at Estevan Comprehensive High School and Lampman School. I also spent a year teaching in England. All of my experience has been in the areas of math and science. My teaching experience has taught me that building relationships with my students is the most important aspect of my job. I believe in creating a positive learning environment and showing every student that they can be successful.

This blog is really my first online presence. I am learning about digital citizenship and open education. Through this blog and the master’s classes I am taking, I hope to engage more in technology and use it in my classroom to further my student’s learning and engagement.

Jannae as a Person

I am married to my wonderful husband Scott and we have two beautiful daughters. Ellie just turned three and Gray was one in December. They keep us pretty busy. My girls have brought us so much joy and make us smile and laugh every day.

I enjoy spending time with friends and my family. I love being outdoors walking, hiking, and cross country skiing. We like to go camping and spend much of our summer at the parks all over Saskatchewan. I also love traveling. I’ve seen quite a bit of Europe and my husband and I went to Australia and New Zealand for our honeymoon.
